Celebrate local German heritage at the 8th annual Oktoberfest in downtown Findlay! This family-friendly festival has become one of the largest single-day events in Hancock County. It includes live traditional German music and entertainment, a variety of contests, authentic German food from vendors like Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, the Kinderplatz Kid Zone and a selection of more than 40 domestic and German beers! Join us for a Feather Tree Workshop hosted by Dennis Bauer on Saturday, October 1st at 9:30am at the Hancock Historical Museum. Guests will get to make a traditional, Victorian era feather tree for you Christmas decor this year! The fee includes all supplies to build an 18" feather tree. Guests will choose to make a green or white tree at time of registration. Class max is 15 participants.   Register Now!

Spooktacular!

The Hancock Historical Museum will host an evening of fun for all ages at a Halloween “Spooktacular!” on Saturday, October 22nd from 5-8pm. Enjoy tours through the "haunted" Hull House, built in 1881. Sample seasonal treats cooked over the hearth in the historic Crawford Log House. Decorate pumpkins and cookies. Children will enjoy face-painting, crafts and games throughout the museum’s multiple buildings. Guests are encouraged to come in costume!
