Preserving tomorrow’s history, today.
The phrases are becoming ubiquitous: “unprecedented,” “new normal,” “uncertain times.” The fact is,
life has changed dramatically in the course of a few short weeks for people in Hancock County, in the
State of Ohio, and around the world. We have never had more technology or resources at our disposal
to proactively preserve this history and to convey our current reality to future generations. We are
asking for your help to create a digital archive of our collective experience as a community during the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to hear your story. Your personal experience can help to shape the way people view this historical event for years to come.
Some of these submissions may be shared on social media and other digital platforms. The Hancock
Historical Museum will also be preserving these materials for future research and possible public

Each of us is experiencing this current crisis in a different way. Whether you’re juggling working from
home with young children, you’ve adjusted your small business model, or you’re in the medical field on the front lines, your personal story is a part of the fabric of our collective memory.

uncertainty. We know that history can provide a lens of clarity for us now, and for future generations.
We need to hear from you. Please help us to preserve our community story.
