PRESERVING THE PAST. INSPIRING THE FUTURE.

ABOUT HHM

The Hancock Historical Museum is a privately-funded, nonprofit history museum founded in 1970 by five Findlay, Ohio residents who wanted to ensure the rich heritage of Hancock County wouldn’t be forgotten with the passage of time.

Their vision is alive today in vibrant educational programs, dynamic exhibits and successful preservation efforts that honor Hancock County’s past while inspiring its future. Thousands of children and adults tour the museum’s buildings and sites every year to learn more about the community and its contributions to the region.

Today, the Hancock Historical Museum is the only nonprofit organization preserving and sharing our community’s rich heritage. Without the museum’s efforts, we would lose the stories, buildings, memories and treasures – and the lessons they hold – for future generations.
