As business and society change at a rapid rate, historic buildings may outlive their original use. Herein lies the value in the preservation strategy of “adaptive reuse”. Historic buildings find new uses, and new relevance, within the context of our contemporary landscape. Join us as we explore a few of downtown Findlay’s notable examples of adaptive reuse on a self-guided tour! Enjoy a total of five wine tastings and appetizers from local restaurants at each stop! Tour stops include The Trust Company, Rooney & Ranzau, Pukka Inc., AR Marketing, an impressive 4,000 sq.ft. private Main Street loft, and a recently completed townhouse on Dorney Plaza. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Cost: $25 for members, $40 for nonmembers.
If you purchase tickets online, you may pick them up at the Hancock Historical Museum prior to April 22nd or at The Trust Company starting at 5:00 pm the day of the tour.
